I think both the SEC and the Administration vastly underestimate how passionate, motivated, and patriotic many average Americans feel about crypto, not to mention the broader risk to innovation and dynamism that’s at stake if we let sclerotic, flippant bureaucracies operate like this.

To be clear, I have a ton of respect for the SEC and other federal regulators. I have family who used to work at the SEC. But regulation by enforcement based on the personal agendas of a small number of appointees is a disservice to the public.
