Renewed my California driver's license in 2 minutes entirely online and realized that was my first ever efficient government interaction...with the DMV.
I did the same in Jersey, the cops that pulled me over for it showed me how to do it 🤯
California DMV website is actually quite good, and keeps getting better. Someone over there is doing great work.
We uh, went digital. Digital driver's license, and vehicle road tax (not sure if there's something similar there), all through our DMV's own app.
I did my entire passport renewal online with the at home pilot… even took the photo with my phone. A year later, I’m still blown away.

Even indian website is reasonably good Its ugly ish and wants us to upload files smaller than 1mb, but it works
CA is also the first state to keep Driver Licenses on blockchain - along with Marriage and Death Certificates
