few people understand how helpless and infuriating it feels to represent minority opinions on social media. I keep coming back to thinking with first principles and trusting myself more. I‘m confident that the results have merit, even if others fight me for it.

Heard. I try not to think of opposing replies as a ‘flight’ as much as a reminder that things aren’t always bimodal or absolute. Typically I’ll find upon reflection my word choice was suboptimal. ✌️

I think part of why it feels bad is that both silence and disagreement and agreement all suck. If others agreed then it wouldn't need to be said, it's not info. If no one responds it has no influence If someone disagrees it tends to feel like they are against you

please. If you dunk on a country ceaselessly, calling them ‘motherfuckers’ you’re gonna get dunked on in return.

this is how all those people who are told they are "woke" likely feel.

This is not a social media thing. If you walked into a dinner party and started telling everyone why their country and their culture sucks, the results would not be different.

I understand. What is the minority opinion being represented here?
