by shutting it down (just kidding) I would say the collection/micro-funding features of late mirror or new paragraph. Unless you have many readers or the niche is specific enough to privately sell an ad slot for service
@vgr has been at it the longest that I can think of and his stable equilibrium seems to be paywalling the best content. Probably requires an audience that is deep into what you’re doing

Distribute posts via a newsletter, charge for the newsletter, make your best stuff free to draw in new subscribers and send rough ideas / early sketches to your subscribers I tried this for 2-3 years, not worth the expectation unless you are writing full time. Turns a fun hobby into a job imo
