I continue to think Warpcast would benefit a lot from integrated polls :) In the base protocol, it's fine to make polls a plugin or some other construction that doesn't needlessly privilege them and uglify the software architecture. But at the UI level, I think they should be as integrated as Twitter/Mastodon polls.
Polls that trigger smart contract actions based on results would be cool 👁️. Curious if some of the 4337 programmability extends to developers too. Aka if x then trigger Y features onchain.
Agreed! Would be a good thing to work on after mainnet launch Cc @sanjay
@cojo.eth and @ba are working on this with their product @survey
Polls where a comment gets tied to each vote. No one does this. I Designed ui for this years ago. Can mock-up if interested
I really thought when lord elon bought twitter and started using polls it was going to become some sort of democratic governance function; but it never ended up really happening
I disagree. From a UX standpoint, polls aren’t that different from ads, at least if it’s structured the way Twitter does them. In the worst cases, it’s engagement farming. Even in best cases, the signal/noise ratio is highly questionable.
lofi polls always possible - but they look the same as "growth hacking" which is toxic to any platform, ie. 'like for yes; comment for no' and count the ratio
I'd like to see plugins which make casts programmable as a superset of these basic Casts we have now.
I know this might be a stupid question, but is Warpcast on base, ETH or both?
And this plugin may be built by the community and users can opt in and out to use it.
And I think Warpcast should implement a translator because I'm tired of copying and pasting every message into an external translator to find out what's being said here. It exhausts me.
