There's a clear opportunity for an open source Farcaster mobile client that does one thing really well: a reverse chronological feed. 1. Sign in with Farcaster (auth only to start) 2. Show me the feed of people I follow 3. Ability to view threads and profiles. Nothing else.
@herocast is open-source - so far mostly for desktop. happy to collaborate with anyone who wants to expand to mobile. already uses best in class @neynar and @mod integrations https://github.com/hellno/herocast
tbh the only business opportunity that I see is someone shipping a client for lets say 1-2 years without stopping half way through and really building all the nuts and bolts for a user group currently underserved by WC. I don‘t know a alternative client that has stood the test of time so far
To be clear: I don't think this is venture-scale business today and not likley a business at all. More of an opportunity to build a super-focused product that gets users. An opportunity to show off product design and building skills.

+1 That way if you have one idea you want to try (eg ads in the feed) you don’t need to waste a bunch of time on the undifferentiated aspects of a good client
