Patience. Kind of a cop out, but just find what works. ๐Ÿ˜„ What works will change daily/weekly by the way. Good luck!

There are so many alternative worlds but only 1 will work. You must go to the depths of your subconscious to find out which one works for your kid. This is as much a joke as much real.

- try give to mom, fail - brainstorm wacky methods, await mother-in-law scolding - baby is more awake than ever, amused by all the attention - feed baby, burp baby, rock baby, put baby in uncomfortable position for adult but super comfortable position for baby, baby nods off - attempt to extricate self, wake up baby

Every kid is different. What worked for my kids won't necessarily work for yours.

what worked for me was singing the same song every night, gently and softly, and just the same part of it. for my son the repetition of some rocking and the music built a muscle memory that it was time to sleep

Put them in the car and drive around the block (I did this for an hour once at 3 am ๐Ÿ˜‚)
