anyone have an ultrawide monitor they'd recommend?
i use this ridiculous monstrosity https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-ultrasharp-40-curved-wuhd-monitor-u4021qw/apd/210-becu/monitors-monitor-accessories the price has gone up since i got it awhile ago. It is incredible. I really like it.
First off I wholeheartedly recommend them in general. Been using one for a couple of years and been a game changer! I’m not a pc gamer so refresh rate not imp to me. I went with the Dell 49inch. Got a better price at the time than the lg.
I use the Samsung Odyssey G9 C49G95TSSR No complaints yet and loving it
I recently picked up the LG 34WL85C and am really enjoying it. It’s an IPS display with HDR10 and has a built in dual controller to share peripherals between two devices that can both display at the same time.
Whichever one you decide, sometimes it’s nice to be able to focus completely on a single app. I like https://hazeover.com/ for that.
I have the Dell UltraSharp U3415W which is now five years old. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it due to lack of USB-C / thunderbolt ports, but I can attest to its quality that has been rock solid. it has a picture-in-picture feature which is kinda neat if you have multiple devices to use simultaneously.
depends what you're using it for, but i have an LG 34WN780-B and it's been great for general use. may be more affordable than other options listed.
I have had the LG 34 (flat) for a while. I didn't think I would like the curve, but it's absolutely a better experience if it's curved. LG monitors are good.
