the only people against unions are ultra-rich for everybody else unions are always net positive hence unions should have overwhelming public support but they don't and this says a lot about our society in general

I took Labor Law in law school, and it's pretty devastating how much the protections of private sector unions have been eroded in the US It's so bad that I don't think unions are necessarily the right approach for collective bargaining. The law just favors employers. Public sector is an entirely different mess

Private sector unions are good. Public sector unions? Not so much, imo.
Same with tax reform…there’s some weird mental gymnastics that encourage people to imagine themselves as rich. “When I’m rich I want the loopholes”
