If World Wide Web was invented today, it would be a controversial idea. Anyone in the world can publish without moderation? The content can so easily be seen on any browser? How do you stop bad actors spreading misinformation? It gonna be the hellscape. It must be advancing Putin’s agenda.

They (kind of) solved the control through Google and social media backdoors. That’s why $Crypto/Web3 scares them so much. They have new tools like Chainalysis but Ring Sigs, Zk, etc helps privatize and give people the privacy as a human right.

I don’t think so. Because those arguments, valid or not, are based on lessons learned over time online. Without the lived experience on the internet, most people would be just as excited as they were back in the day.
