i've been putting out my newsletter Next in Tech out every Saturday, but just tested out a Monday edition this week instead. trying to figure out if there's anything in the time I'm publishing that can boost engagement, or if there are other content/distribution details I can be working on.
I feel like it depends on the type of newsletter. If it’s business, maybe early Monday morning, but you’d be in high competition…so maybe late Sunday afternoon for the early preppers. If it’s a parent newsletter, maybe evening after the kids are asleep.
@dylsteck depends on where your audience work and live... I'd imagine that Substack & Beehiiv have their own analytics, right? If the subject matter is work-focused, I'd suggest a weekday, while if it's personal-growth focused, I'd suggest a weekend. Look at when Justin Welsh, Dan Koe and Ryan Holiday send theirs.
