It’s comforting, easy and gives us meaning to believe that we are the most important and last generation before we ascend to a higher state I find the whole Singularity, e/acc is more akin to a religion than anything else

both AI doomerism and AI utopianism are more religion than prediction. people believe them for the community and identity.
