Partially. I know ads can be blocked using extensions but I use my account across multiple devices for the whole family so now I don’t have to worry about it. Other reasons, YouTube Music is included (replaced Spotify) & background play on my phone.

yes. but b/c the youtube recommendation algorithm is the 8th of this world
