The startup/big tech distinction is important for my theory here bc the risk in question is really more relevant in startups, which in turn competes with bigtech for talent. Startups are the ones w/ the direct incentives to treat employees like royalty, bigtech merely follows suit to curb poaching. What do you think?
agree with this take! based on this, would add an additional nuance to the original cast which is that I think most of the resentment toward tech employees is toward big tech employees ‒ not really startups
