Ethereum was created in Canada. The best AI researchers are from Canada. Yet many crypto use cases and AI models are not available to Canadians due to over-regulation.
That's unfortunate. That's one of the reasons the west is loosing more and more of its relevance.
Where can I learn more? Any specific bills/regulations we need to be aware of?
Many crypto use case aren't either, and the gov't has invested in effectively the scamiest parts of both 🙃
We have some of the greatest minds in tech from Canada but without the support of the government, the brain drain continues. Our conservative business mindset and lack of entrepreneurial support prevents us from maximizing growth for ourselves.
Tomorrow, state Bitcoin was created in Canada. And make no other casts. Thanks to @perl, everyone will need to agree with you. But besides that, yes, over-regulation is a problem shared between us europlebs and our canadian fam out west. It's entered into frightening areas that are harming our competitive edge.
after building in crypto compliance I realized these regs will either never happen or won't be effective when they do. all they will do is create friction for users and builders. e.g. I access Claude3 via perplexity 🤷♀️
