I don’t think modern BTC culture is that different from Ripple culture. People think it will go up in value and they will be rewarded. The vast majority don’t believe it will become money which means it doesn’t really have value as anything but a speculative asset.
The more Bitcoiners preach the gospel, the more they’ve usually invested in it. Conversely the people who preach Ethereum’s value are the users of the network.
I see huge differences in culture omg At its core they are both cults around the asset yes but BTC values really distinguish it to me. You could really use BTC as a kind of a religion more so than Ripple Ex: try googling “time preference” + Bitcoin, and then Ripple
