So the way I think about life is that you have two paths: (1) Epic. Your life is important so you try to get into the stream of the most impactful events. You cure cancer. You fight climate change. You make humanity multiplanetary species. (2) Lore. Your life is not that important and you do sidequest and have fun.

Ofc you can spend some time doing Epic shit and then focus on Lore and return back to the main plot after some time.
