Happy that the city of Toronto has ads like this! 

Quite honestly, me and my family experienced some hate during C19. My mom was told to go back to her country + other expletives while on a walk with our dogs. 

I still experience hate when I’m on the subway occasionally but for the most part I’m less fearful

I'm sorry your mum (and you) experienced this. The great white scar of systemic racism does reside here, unfortunately. May we see the change sooner rather than later. <3

aww sam!! i’m so sorry that you and your mom experienced this! i have family in toronto and mississauga and heard some heartbreaking stories about what they encountered 🫂. but also glad to see the city addressing it, rather than turning a blind eye to it all
