Continually force yourself into being an outsider 🫡 https://www.wysr.xyz/p/the-outsider-paradox

Randomly test yourself how well you can argue the other side of anything you read, hear, etc. Doesn’t mean you agree with that pov, but likely means you have enough of understanding of the first principles to develop your own opinion e.g. be able to argue for climate change policies better than a Gretastan

writing helps a lot. I have a disciplined practice of writing without trying to make sense. just allowing it to come. and also building something along the lines of that *being heretic*. im just so stubborn lol.

1. read https://vitalik.ca/general/2020/11/08/concave.html 2. whenever there is a decision to make, identify the curve 3. find arguments for all 3: 2 extreme cases and the middle ground 4. decide if the problem is better suited for convex or concave view 5. concave: go middle, convex: go extreme case that you like more

mental techniques help, as can travel. galleries and museums are a decent substitute for travel, at least in terms of frequency and cost, to encounter challenging ideas

I'm not sure it's a choice you get to make, at least not directly. Do what it takes to be at odds with society and hope they notice enough to ostracize you. Most people aren't important enough to be heretics. Body odor helps.

So weird shit regularly so that feeling of going against the grain doesn’t bother you as much
