What if LPs, with some weighted average over the last x months, were the ones that governed the fee switch? Would be similar to how $MAKER (the risk holders in MakerDAO) govern the protocol MakerDAO can’t function w/o $MAKER Uniswap *can* function w/o $UNI

Not a perfect analogy, but that would be a bit like letting Airbnb hosts dictate pricing on the marketplace. If you give them that power, it would come directly from Airbnb shareholders (who probably want to retain it).
