when i was moving from russia to canada i had to translate my transcripts in russia they used 1...5 grade system, i had perfect 5s on all of the subjects i think they translated this as 3.2 gpa? a similar thing happens here — the more people have "perfect" gpa's, the less reputable gpa's would be
