I'm building an SMTP server for fun over the Holidays and increasingly itching for a web3 native solution - automatic acces-controlled aliasing/roles - user-defined cold messaging/spam 'fee' - key delegation to prevent forgeries - on-chain DNS anything else?

Cool idea. What’s the best solution to keep messages private between sender/receiver?

I have been working adjacently on something similar on my (negative) free time - would love to participate if you're interested.

Yo this is fun. A lot of the messy bits have been addressed with @XMTP, like E2EE…I'm curious what's missing for you that could see your solution built on top of it!

been thinking about this for DAO representatives to be able to get an official email with DAO owned domain. Super interested in this, and think with like a ENS/Mail3 integration is an untapped market currently.

For some context on why we're exploring SMTP, we've redesigned our protocol docs last week which is oriented towards this direction: https://github.com/bebverse/protocol
