How do you tell if someone ā€œhasā€ XMTP? I thought every wallet had it by default. Is OP pic looking at how many have sent/received a message?

XMTP supports end-to-end encrypted messaging by default, and by design. An account "has XMTP" if it has been "activated" and set up the necessary key material to make the encrypted messaging possibleā€”something that's not made accessible by wallets by default, in a standardized way.
