I like this twitteresque UX of the default client but is anyone thinking of any very different UXes that occupy a very different part of the design space induced by the protocol?

Chance here to build a social network around "real world" (i.e. online or on-chain) activity. A public square where you don't just talk but bring your entire identity. farcaster://casts/0x...d1ce696bae

I love farcaster (love hate bc I care) my biggest issue is the lack of product creativity that goes into the client it’s a twitter clone w a gm button and NFTs tab that no one uses i get why they’re doing it but I’m excited for features down the line that are novel and change the social exp

I think social UX would benefit immensely from a horizontal scroll, or mind-map interface (even exploring my nascent theory around 'circular' UX). 3D UX (in a lightweight way) could drastically improve nested interfaces + reduce clutter. Which is a long way of not answering your question...

yeah I've been experimenting with 3rd party plugins inside casts that can be installed by users or feed creators. https://www.discove.xyz/df/musiccaster

Clients could start displaying messages based on embeds (uris) associated with casts. If an embed is a video that is hosted by the client, then they will display it on their platform. Or, they will display casts that are responses to embeds with videos hosted on their platform. Then you make youtube lol

We focused on Twitter since it's the simplest social network to bootstrap on top of a decentralized protocol without needing federation, i.e. Facebook or LinkedIn has a higher default degree of privacy
