Dappnode and avado are 2 good offerings for this, but building your own device is like putting 2 lego blocks on a plate and we have very easy to use tools to install everything now. Join us at EthStaker if you need any help with this. - reddit.com/r/ethstaker/ - discord.io/ethstaker
I’ve just started looking at the HOPR node. It’s made to provide a mixnet node for the hopr network for users’ privacy as well as an eth validator node so you can use your own RPC for privacy on txns. Dunno the full scope or shortcomings of it yet, but I like the idea so far.
Be patient. That stuff is definitely coming. Wouldn't surprise me if Ledger releases a decently designed model for one-click solo staking. But who knows. New players are arriving daily.
I can't imagine how that would be done without some serious security concerns. Best set-it-and-forget-it UX without compromising security is probably just using Rocket Pool. But I agree, if that type of hardware was available & verifiably secure, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
Have you looked into dappnode at all? Lot of people use it and they sell boxes https://dappnode.com/en-us
I can get you setup with a Shardeum and Massa nodes It’s plug-and-play stake onto the node from home
