Before this year it was never actually easy to set up a system where readers pay around $0.25 to access an article, easily and quickly, without giving out a credit card number. Now with Base, Paragraph, etc that is finally possible. I think someone will figure it out and get it right, and it will unlock a new revenue stream for journalists willing to try it. 420 $degen

Those forms of tipping are great because they don't actually cost the tipper anything and there is theoretically just an economy built in there that rewards. If that works it'd be ideal for sure. But I suspect people would really have to inject some of their own cash into a system.
