What exactly did you think permissionlessness meant? Maybe you'd prefer a centralized bureau of meme assets where a committee can approve or deny applications to launch a memecoin based on how appropriate it is? Smart people can be very dumb in specific ways
Sad to hear! I’ve come to similar conclusions when it comes to crypto. It’s predatory and evil nature is real, but I just don’t see the better alternative yet. Financial world is full of shit, yet on crypto is more transparent. It’s harder to hide your bad intentions onchain, although not impossible
