athletic bucket list: - ironman - english channel swim - 6 world majors - 1000lb club - do some big hikes (eg PCT) - elite mobility/flexibility - 5min mile - do some big bike rides in european mountains - learn how to surf well - learn how to ski well (double blacks) imma try to do this all over next 15y
the channel swim is by far the hardest and least feasible one, but everything else feels within the scope of possibility
If the cold waters of the English Channel are a no-go, the warmer waters of the 'Kaiwi Channel' (Molokai to Oahu, Hawaii) is another option, however, longer and sharkier. 😅 In cycling, 'Everesting' is a painfully Epic endeavour alternative.
Love this list. Had a friend do the channel - there’s an association that has useful FAQs and a training guide - he started there and recommended it: https://www.channelswimmingassociation.com/
i like to add some bw stuff too, e.g. being able to do 1 muscle up, pistol squat, handstand
Have you done any other things that are worthy of a list like this but are not in this post? 5k, 10k, or 44.4k ie marathon?
