I know a lot has been said previously about the "in" crowd on FC (which does not necessarily preexist FC, btw), but perhaps that crowd is merely the most vulnerable cluster? ("vulnerable" being people who are easily influenced by their friends' behaviors / opinions- or in our case those most likely to try new things?)
