Genuinely surprised there's no 2022 version of turntablefm Maybe the native form factor is VR?
i actually made the same observation this week! jqbx is like it a bit but ..
there was a clone but idk what happened to it, would def play ttfm again maybe something to make mixes like pacemaker (ios) + live spaces would be cool

My favorite way to use turntable.fm back in the day was passively while coding. The revived version actually seemed pretty good! I guess if you really wanted to focus on the music and engage with other listeners doing it in like AltspaceVR could be interestingā¦

Feels like this should be built into Spotify? Allow people to broadcast, show when a friend is broadcasting, allow friends to join with one-click. I use Apple Music but that would get me to switch over.

i worked at a turntable competitor in 2013 (we were much smaller, but same concept), turntable was early metaverse and i'd love to see it back heard some of the original team is re-launching
we led the investment in turntable and it didn't work as a business, mostly because the labels fucked them over.
Seems like this would be a no-brainer for gather.town to do
