Hard deadlines. I’m trying something new this week actually too. I’m “out of office” (for meetings) all week in order to create space so I can focus on writing and shipping a big project.

this depends on if your distractions are internal or external. For a while, i kept a notepad next to my keyboard, a distraction log. When distraction is detected, note the time of day, as well as the origin of it. External distractors can be eliminated by env control, internal ones are trickier...

Start with little sessions and build on that. Even if it’s something small like breathing meditation, reading, or working on a small project. Spend just a minute (or two or ten), whatever you can manage. Then add a minute or two over time until you’re up to bigger blocks. Simple but it works for me.
