Alcohol stops your body from burning fat Once you get within normal weight range, targeted core exercises + caloric deficit will work together and lead to body recomposition (ie fat turning into muscle)

PS fat does NOT turn into muscle 😂 I meant that if you exercise core / belly muscles while you keep burning fat, there will be marginal localised toning
