I got it out of https://www.aup.nl/en/book/9789089643735/inside-out-victory-boogie-woogie Amazing book. Also describes how he used tape (a new invention at the time) to adjust his composition before painting it. He died before finishing the painting 🖼️ , so the tape is still on there. Visibly!

And if the kids prefer games 🎮 over paintings 🖼️, show them this https://electricboogiewoogie.com/ (based on Broadway Boogie Woogie)

Oh, that is quite cool. I knew he used tape. There was one school vacation many moons ago that I was the minder in the Gemeentemuseum of The Hague (now Kunstmuseum) who was responsible for the Mondriaan rooms. If you look closely, you can see the tape lines on them. I personally prefer his earlier work, to be honest.

Thanks. I will use it in my presentation tomorrow. It's for the primary school of my kids. They will laugh about that.

I used the fact in my presentation (and built my weekly farcaster poem around it). Thanks so much.
