Knives Out Glass Onion is a silly little mess. There were some yuks and Kate H. shone with White Lotus style cluelessness, Ed Norton was great too but it lacks the charm of the first. Daniel Craig’s not quite right as Blanc, the accent is slapstick. Wouldn’t mind one of these every year though, knowing the low stak

the murder mystery part is secondary to the zaniness which makes the reveal less of a payoff.

slapstick is the right descriptor for the accent, agree. breaks my brain

Yeah it’s good for what it is but my hopes were too high after the first. Basically just a cameo/reference fest. Entire plot is a McGuffin for that.

I thought it was great but was a paradigmatic case of one too many endings. Could have wrapped it up after the main reveal, the last denouement was the silly part IMO

Yup. Very basic. And the accent didn't work at all!

I didn’t go in with too many expectations. Not winning any awards, but it was a solid “OK” in my book. As you said, low stakes.

Liked the first one way better. This one felt much more Netflixy and less enduring

i enjoyed it for what it is: a mindless romp with ho-hum acting, a predictable mystery, and a fun ending

It was enjoyable. Definitely NOT as great as ‘Knives Out’ & felt a bit shorter.

agree with this review — I have a soft spot for an Agatha Christie style mystery but there are too few
