What if FC (the app, not the protocol) decided to close new user onboarding indefinitely, active immediately? Like a hard cap on currency, but instead on community, not to mitigate monetary inflation, but quality dilution. Given that assumption, if you are FC team, what’s next?

Unclear why you would do that given the goal is internet-scale protocol with billions of users. Have to figure out how to grow with quality. But to answer the hypothetical: same protocol and client roadmap. We’re building the thing we want to use every day. :)

What if not entirely closed off but net new users flat lines due to client rich ecosystem? At this point FC client discovery becomes the most important thing no? Would main client show cast from other clients?

A potential solution would be to build an app on top of the protocol with some algo that prunes your network every x months based on “quality” or lack thereof. The harder part would be determining value of each person within your network.
