No doubt that's the future but don't think it happened yet as it's often depicted. If it did, I'm curious to learn the exact workflow. Anecdotally, I know a few friends said they don't need as many eng anymore, but once asked for details, they hired an excess amount of eng over the past few years vs AI.

I agree; anyone who says it's already happened everywhere is full of it. But I think it's starting now. My experience is that I'm able to write a ton more code than I was a year ago (pre-copilot) and I'm spending less time writing it (I manage a team now and was an IC a year ago)
