yeah def didn't mean for it to be a blanket statement but don't think it necessarily has to lead to some downstream reward for it to be an ad -- ads can also be about capturing mindshare...Coinbase's OE for Base a couple weeks ago got 500k mints -- that's a direct relationship with 500k wallets

i was speaking more about reward for minters. the reason 500k minted is either in the hope that there's an airdrop or that that NFT is the Base token itself. there's been a bunch of these recently, leveraging the speculative side - if some of these tokens don't start to 'pay off' people will stop paying for the ads
