Anyone here a member of a private club? I went to an event at a very old fashioned one recently and I'm curious whether the membership is all lawyers and politicians or if there are engineers and tech people too.

Afaik many clubs with niche interests exist, I’m in some local ones with varying levels of activity: 1. RC enthusiasts 2. Sailing club/coop our vice commodore is a janitor irl 3. Drone flyers club our captain is contract painter irl These^ are disrupting local yacht club like elite models, are diverse/affordable

In SF there’s the battery and a few others thats largely techies.
