where was the first international country you travelled to? and from where?
First solo trip was when I was 18 to Bali with my best friend. Budget airlines weren’t even a *thing* then
Mexico, from Texas, family road trip although Texas gets progressively more Mexican-feeling as you go south, I remember the colors changing sharply across the border, and the texture of the air felt different. A guy offered to take us to Mexico City (from Matamoros). My parents declined, to my great regret
🇻🇪 Venezuela when I was 14 from the US (Minnesota).
Probably Belgium or Germany as I grew up in The Netherlands, but what I remember as my first international travel was visiting New York at age 8.
France, from the US. Joined a friend who’s short film got into the Clermont-Ferrand film fest.
