Would you be supportive of newly signed up users getting a 2ish day algo boost? Why or why not?
supportive if done right and doesn't feel spammy, reason why @ncbot was so popular back in the day
Yes. May simultaneously desire a better way to unfollow accounts I haven’t engaged with in a while too. current method removes artist that I don’t want to unfollow. Yes because I want to follow people that are genuine about their online interactions, especially new people.
yes - as a new user I am a little overwhelmed and unsure where to start
yes, b/c it's hard to break into the "cool kids' club". also, request boost to be based on # of casts rather than time elapsed. Not everyone is equipped to make a grand entrance; it's natural for thoughtful, quality casters to tiptoe in and gauge the response
Seems like a thing worth trying and seeing what happens 🤷🏼 Alt: What about a bootstrap type interaction metric for acting as a type of onboarding ambassador? Empower the community to be proactive so that you don’t have to make changes functionally to accomplish the same thing
Didn't Farcaster (old app) do this, felt the boost when I first signed-up (lots of likes n' stuff). I like the idea!
Yea, would be nice to catch users who I know from other platforms but just signed up for fc
Now with Channels, it is much easier to connect with like-minded people and grab someone interest by contributing something valuable. Anyways, most first casts I've seen are full with gms and generic stuff.
I support it, because the Farcaster family is friendly. Many new users need adaptation
The best and worst content in my feed comes from @ncbot So, hard maybe. Maybe an algo boost that checks for quality/substantive content. ie no gm or lfg
