only saw clips. What would you have hoped would be different?
Call me an optimist but I think we’ll live our lives and AI won’t kill us all.
I chose not to listen to this one because the title made me avoid it
maybe not so unpopular. everyone who believes AI will ultimately end society in 20years seems blind to world events happening right now

not at all. I started listening to it last week & stopped because as much as I love David & Ryan, they were out of their depths for this one. they veered outside of their core competency is all.
Totally agree. I actually was hoping, based on the preface, that E would have something more to say than what waitbutwhy covered in 2015 blog posts about AGI. It wasn’t original, they weren’t probing, and I didn’t learn any new frameworks to think about it.
Imo Bankless boys did a great job,they probably didn't know how pesimist Eliezer would be... Completely agree. I particularly agree with your comment that he was an irresponsible choice as an entry point to the AI alignment discussion.
