re identity over 90% of Twitter users read, but don’t tweet, reply or like, as those are public actions.

More importantly I think, those are conscious actions I take, public or not. Barring blocks or unfollows, I have much less control over which tweets I see

not sure if that feature makes much sense other than having a "most viewed tweets" leaderboard with Elon tweets at the top. Twitter already has Tweet Activity which I can view for my own tweets

E10n’s take on equating tweets to video views is understandable but I think it is too much apples to oranges. Videos you have to watch to validate the view. Plenty of tweets I read in my feed but it just means the algorithm put it in my feed. It’s a self-licking ice cream cone fallacy.

Struggling to improve something? Add a new noisy metric that is unauditable and has lots of zeros! Instant winning 😂

scrolling past a tweet =/= reading, but it counts as a view. he’s just inflating metrics to bring back advertisers

- One of the liberating things about the FC feed is that the views indicator is hidden. How do you think the impact of the change will be?

Did they disclose how a view is counted, meaning is scroll-through counted or does the reader need to stop for >1 sec?
