Discord is less awful, but ideally neither. tg is full of spam and discord just has too much stuff going on. Ngl I actually like when communities are on Matrix, but the UX of clients isn't the best

I don't particularly prefer either, but Discord seems to be having a moment in my neighborhood in 2023.
I want something new, something that works as well as MSN did or something. Waiting for an awesome distributed chat.
Agree withe folks who say none of these 2 options are good. Wondering if there are any alternatives yet
