Yep. I'm here daily and I genuinely love this place, but still, my attention is already near capacity for other reasons. So I just read/respond when I can, and remind myself that the FC scenius will do the rest. :)
Thanks again for all the lovely comments on my Scenius Incubation essay. I think my fav line in the whole piece is: "an abundance of Zorb-minting glee" Might say this every single time I mint a Zorb-related NFT henceforth.

💜 Always appreciate your encouragement. It's rare that I have an extended stretch of time to focus on intrinsically motivated creative work. I've never been lucky enough to stumble into a scenius before either. Don't know what to expect. We'll see where this leads...
Another consistent theme that resonates with the scenius is how farcaster has changed us, there's us before farcaster, and us after farcaster.
So many people feel that way in this space —I’d say most! And I definitely need to unpack scenius but that one needs more time to ruminate. That was 🤯 and feels so connected with me starting to write! You deeply inspired me!💜

I like Farcaster channels bc of passive curation, communally threaded earned secrets, relatively persistent storage, optional notifications, better tradeoff b/w new participant discovery vs barrier, higher Schelling point potential, tighter Scenius integration, and most important of all ✨ D I S T R I B U T I O N ✨

Honestly, I’m not worried at all about the scenius vibes. The community has rewarded pro-social behavior for the entire year I’ve been here. FarCon and everything else I think has shown it’ll take more than a few noisy PFPs to change how great everyone treats each other here 🫡

Earnestness, I feel, lands you in a tender sweet spot of vulnerable generosity. However, it's delicate game theory. Walking into a knife fight in a naive manner ain't smart either, and so the great risk is that when the neighbourhood goes to seed, the rich "scenius" positive behavior will be the first casualty.

I think of this essay contest as a form of “scenius labor,” as it tapped into collective intelligence (i.e., the FC scenius) to help us find talented writers whose work might otherwise have escaped our attention. So much excellent work gets buried every day; this helped some of it get seen. Nice work, everyone.
You made many great points in this piece, and it spawned a thoughtful discussion in the comments, too. Lots of good reasons to re-read it. Early scenius canon!
Plus I think the scenius is strong and has built a way to absorb new entrants in a positive and constructive way. That helps.
The words might be written out as "before Farcaster" and "after Farcaster" instead of just the acronyms BFC/AFC, but the meme is the same either way. I think it's mint-worthy! I haven't organized the scenius lexicon beyond taking notes for my own writings, but I'd gladly compile a longer document if/when it's needed.
