Serious question for the women of FC. Manscaping: 1. Necessary 2. Nice to have 3. Not needed
I’m assuming most of my target audience won’t have any xtmp enabled app. Coinbase wallet is the most likely, but still not majority. So I’m trying to see how to reach people who connect their wallet instead of email. Also exploring WebPush from WebKit for web app notifications
Beautiful! Can Farcaster Endorsements via @mosaicnetwork be included in the ecosystem tab?
This is really cool. Quick question. For sending notifications to a wallet, is it only compatible with Coinbase wallet? Otherwise they have to download another app to receive notifications? But if they don’t have Coinbase wallet, it can still go to their email if they have one in their profile?
I meant positive like, when a few good things start happening, lots of good things start happening. Sunshine instead of rain
What’s a song that makes you go “awww shit” but that you’re slightly embarrassed by? Mines Super Bass by Nicki Minaj. Awwww shit https://youtu.be/4JipHEz53sU
I’m not at ETHCC but I’m curious about your initiative. Is it something you’d be willing to share? DM is fine. I’m also building in the education space
Reminds me of a possible bug I meant to tell @dwr - If I click the comment button from the feed, start typing, save the draft, then later go back the persons profile and try to comment again, the draft is not there. I have to go back to the feed and click comment. Is that intentional?
It’s weird. Go back to the original place you started the cast, can be a comment or a new cast, start typing, and a button pops up.
Yes, a lot of advancements towards a more private, or at least controlled user experience. I don’t mind sharing some data but I just want transparency and plurality. But the trend we take towards profit will always lead us away from that pipe dream. BUT I’m here to learn so if XTMP protects us from this then great!
Same! @jamesyoung it would be great if you could keep us updated on this. Or at least point us to the telegrams or communities where we can stay up to date ourselves
I see leaving a platform or protocol different from letting unwanted actors in. Like letting brands mass message everyone on Farcaster or Coinbase Wallet by default. Is there a connection I’m not seeing? There should be a protocol level (ex. XTMP) permission that is opt-out by default with masked addresses
Ok this starts to get interesting. Could all of those accounts be linked to a single ID…maybe one that uses ZK so no one knows it and no one can send messages to it? Or even a zk wallet where brands can’t see the address, and therefore can’t send it to their affiliates?
