Happy birthday to us! Here's to many more years of doing cool shit with rad people! Make sure you subscribe to The Nervous Podcast wherever you get stuff for your earholes (link is on our site) and thanks so much for all the love and support!
It's been a wild two years, and we're forever grateful to be part of an industry that has supported us with such love and kindness. Special shoutouts to Bobby Hundreds, crisisdao, Vayner3, Mike Shinoda, Crossmint, NonFungibleSC, Galactic and everyone else who has befriended us.
We've been pretty busy lately, doing a lot on the consulting side of our business. Our biggest project right now is a super-secret thing we're helping the good folks Google take to launch that has nothing to do with NFTs and everything to do with our favorite topic: community.
Plus One is a safe and easy way to empower your community to grow your community, without diluting the supply of your collection. Think of Plus Ones as a guest pass for your community! Check out https://www.nervous.net/plusone for more info and keep an eye open for launch info!
Plus One is a service we're offering that lets your holders mint and gift access to whatever aspects of your community you wish. Each Plus One ERC-71 is permanently bound to the original token, and can be gifted and recalled by the primary token holder.
But as the saying goes, the real NFTs are the friends we've made along the way. And as the market has contracted we've doubled down on our focus: using technology to create better communities. While it's not quite ready for a full launch yet, we're stoked to announce Plus One.
Since we're nerds and we do love digging into the numbers, here's a brief glance at some of ours: Nervous contracts have created more than 60k NFTs with almost 22k unique holders and more than 48.5k ETH in secondary sales. That's a lotta tokens, y'all. WOW.
We even helped one of our favorite bands Less Than Jake, create a tokenized fan club and Discord community that's doing great and giving them an awesome way to connect with their fans. Community really is what we love the most!
One of our earliest projects was writing the smart contract for The Hundreds epic project, Adam Bomb Squad! Helping one of the best streetwear brands in the world create a tokenized community was an incredible experience, and they still have one of the best communities around.
Working with the warpsound.ai folks on their incredible collection and becoming friends with Jeff and the rest of their team has been an absolute joy, and watching them continue building is truly inspiring. The team, the community, the music...all of it's amazing!
We helped br0ads1de.com launch an amazing PFP collection tied to an excellent sci-fi novel, and have watched an incredible community form as they continue to develop the world of Broadside. Bestseller list, here they come!
We've done delightful art projects: Dumpling Pets (shawnimal), Mini Melties (buffmonster) and Gachapon (with a bunch of artists), because putting more art into the world fills our souls and makes us happy.
So that became the focus of Nervous: using technology to add value to the world and create better communities. And in the two short years we've been here, we feel pretty dang good about what we've done towards that goal!
.@unklesteve came onboard in late August 2021 after a healthy bout of skepticism about NFTs & the direction they were heading in. He and Dylan found themselves very aligned on the goal of using NFTs to do stuff that was interesting, forward-thinking, and community-focused.
Nervous started because @dylanreed needed a change. He was working in the health care industry and it was time to move on. His brother @harper said “Hey, you should look at this whole NFT thing” and so he looked. And then he looked some more. And then he dove right in.
That looks great. If you were looking for more yarn you could go to littlesquirrelyarn.com My partner just updated the store with new sets.
Today I have been using a pocket knife as a fidget. Which isn’t a good idea.
You must stop!! I am trying to do serious work selling jpgs and I can’t be humming this.
