How is Nouns, an opt-in share purchase/investment, a tax? And funding advertising with a goal of proliferation is far from a public good. (Yes I know not all nouns props are ads, but many retain that as a primary goal and the public good part is often secondary)
Maybe, but it's extremely unobtainable which I think will always be a problem. Most will see them as a frivolous luxury good. There needs to be a less expensive way to participate (and see the potential upside, not just contribute to the wealth of others).
This sounds good if it works. Since props/voting are typically timed and shorter lived it seems more useful than fully moving everything. Would need dual ownership or something to protect against L2 exploits or outages/failures.
Even then: now you have OG L1 tokens and L2, so what do you do about that? Let people redeem/burn to bridge? Then you risk fragmenting your users. Didn't y00ts do this recently? What % ended up bridging over?
Hold backs are uncertainty about longevity of the L2 and user experience of getting tokens and bridging etc. Unclear technical guidance on how to actually "move" to an L2. As I understand it, tokens could be lost if the bridge process fails or goes away.
