Yah, pretty crowded field of candidates for the two spot. I think I lean towards something around communication.

GM. Read more about organism's tendency towards complexity in the tail-end of The Matter with Things V2 and about the groundwork laid for semiconductor supply chains in Chip Wars.

GM. New week, new reads. I kicked off Chip War and Health Communism, and returned to v2 of The Matter with Things after an ebook detour.

I’ve also been thinking that, in the age of a fragmented web with AI as the spanning intermediaries, Extremely Offline people are going to be valuable. Can’t articulate why; a hunch. But something to do with their insulation from web shenanigans and their illegibility as entities in the modern world.

GM. Read some more Everything Flows; walked the dogs; listened to the seven powers episode of Acquired; built out 80% of a skeleton for async/sync discovery of a new product.

GM. Read a couple more papers from Everything Flows—inc. the linked one about processes <> organisation <> organism. Also listened to an old Tech Won't Save Us episode about O'Shea's Future Histories book. https://academic.oup.com/book/27525/chapter/197496261

GM. Changed pace today and started with some Foucault's Pendulum and a segment from Hobb's Liveship Traders—both of which are holiday-induced diversions from my focus on comics and graphic novels.

I originally planned to trundle through the entire backlog. I’m at mid 30s currently and it’s only 2018; looking for seminal historical pods to make sure I hit.
