the attack was pretty sophisticated and legit looking - it originally even used a QR code in a picture just like Dan often does. I wasn’t sure whether it was real initially - particularly bc Dan has been so persistent about removing phone nrs on twitter accounts. Thankfully people warned in the comments

Since fnames can be just numbers, and users can also choose to not have an fname, instead using their fid, two users are shown to have the same exact username by clients, unless clients otherwise distinguish between fid usernames & fname usernames, which none do. Numeric fnames are more vulnerable to phishing
