To further toot my own horn, I believe I called this in the last chapter of Chaos Monkeys.
Elon seems to be on the verge of saying ads polarize media, when most evidence points to the opposite: our golden era of relatively balanced news media was due solely to the advertising business model that meant things couldn't get too partisan. Subscriptions will likely make things worse, not better.

Also, in Miami it's quite normal and they're good at it. Even some residential buildings offer valet as a service for residents. You just don't park your own car.
Valet only makes sense in cities like LA or Miami where: 1. There are legitimately fancy places that routinely handle high-end cars and return them to drivers undinged 2. Possibly have security problems, whereby you don't want to leave a nice car on the street
